The 'Best Jobs in America for 2020': 7 are in health care

Glassdoor has released its list of the "50 Best Jobs in America for 2020," and several health care professions made the list.

About the rankings

For the list, Glassdoor identified the jobs with the highest overall Glassdoor job score. Glassdoor's five-point job score—with five representing the best job and one representing the worst—is based on three factors: median annual base salary, overall job satisfaction rating, and the number of job openings.

To be considered for the list, jobs had to have at least 100 salary reports and at least 100 job satisfaction ratings submitted by U.S.-based employees between December 11, 2018, and December 10, 2019. The ranking does not include C-suite and intern-level jobs.

The Best Jobs

Front-end engineer topped the list, but seven health care occupations also made the cut.

The health care occupations that are among the '50 Best Jobs in America for 2020' are:

  1. Speech language pathologist, with a median base salary of $71, 867 and a job satisfaction score of 3.8;
  2. Nursing manager, with a median base salary of $85,389 and a job satisfaction score of 3.7;
  3. Clinic manager, with median base salary of $70,000 and a job satisfaction score of 3.9;
  4. Physical therapist, with median base salary of $71,483 and job satisfaction score of 3.6;
