Optum Payer-Provider Abrasion Survey methodology:

The insights in this report are partially derived from Optum’s Payer-Provider Abrasion Survey. As part of that survey a total of n=151 interviews were conducted (across payers and providers). Providers (n=76) represented hospitals, health systems, and ambulatory/outpatient organizations. Payers (n=75) represented national plans, regional plans, and provider-sponsored plans.
