BSA LifeStructures and JE Dunn Construction: To ensure patients in the rural area of Monett, Missouri had quality health care BSA and JE Dunn Construction developed a new 100,000 single-story, 25 bed replacement hospital and clinic for CoxHealth. This new critical access hospital will offer an enhanced emergency department, multiple operating rooms, labor and delivery, and an attached medical office building that will house physician clinics, cardiac rehab, and 40 exam rooms. ESa: Designed for future expansion by ESa, the 29-bed hospital and integrated medical office building at Thomasville Regional Medical Center serves as a community center for much-needed emergency, inpatient and outpatient services and programming in the rural community. Thomasville has been without a hospital since the previous facility closed in 2011. The new regional medical center is designed to be less institutional in nature. Eppstein Uhen Architects: Featuring natural light and exterior views to enhance patient well-being, EUA designed a new three-story MOB attached to the existing Prairie Ridge hospital for Family Medicine and Physical Rehabilitation services. FreemanWhite: This recently completed renovation by FreemanWhite right-sized the surgery and endoscopy departments to improve operational standards, reduce high turnaround times, and increase capacity. LEO A DALY: The Syracuse Area Health Critical Access Hospital is designed to foster patient well-being and to support staffing efficiencies. Designed by LEO A DALY , the hospital occupancy areas include a surgical suite with a large operating room and a minor procedure room, emergency and radiology departments and an inpatient wing with 10-private patient rooms. Additional support departments include lab, pharmacy and nutrition services. Outpatient services comprise most of the remaining space, which includes 20-exam rooms and three procedure rooms, supporting a rural health physicians’ clinic and a specialty clinic. (© LEO A DALY)

ZGF: St. Anthony Hospital provides a broad range of care common to a rural, critical access hospital. Caregivers from all departments participated in the redesign by ZGF to enhance operational efficiency and patient-centered care, resulting in a building 50% smaller than the previous hospital and a 90% increase in staff satisfaction.
