• District of Columbia: The House on Friday voted 220-204 to legalize marijuana nationwide—a move that would decriminalize the distribution and possession of cannabis. In 2020, the House passed a similar bill, but the GOP-led Senate blocked the measure. But some lawmakers remain hopeful that the bill will pass in the Senate with increased public support and a Democratic majority. • West Virginia: Mon Health System and Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) Health System on Thursday announced that they signed a letter of intent to merge into a single health system, operating under an umbrella brand called Vandalia Health.
