The best places in work in healthcare in 2024, according to Glassdoor

Glassdoor on Wednesday released its annual Employees' Choice Awards for the "Best Places to Work" in 2024, and several healthcare organizations were recognized.

Methodology

Glassdoor's Employees' Choice Awards for the Best Places to Work rely on feedback from current and former employees who anonymously submit company reviews on Glassdoor.

For its "100 Best Places to Work" list, Glassdoor considered large U.S. companies with at least 1,000 employees. The organization also created a "50 Best Places to Work" list for small and medium U.S. companies with fewer than 1,000 employers.

To be eligible for consideration, large companies had to have at least 75 ratings and small and medium had to have at least 30 ratings on nine workplace attributes:

  • Overall company rating
  • Career opportunities
  • Compensation and benefits
  • Culture and values
  • Diversity and inclusion
  • Senior management
  • Work-life balance
  • Whether a reviewer would recommend the company to a friend
  • Six-month business outlook

Anonymous reviews and ratings were submitted on a five-point scale, and an employer must have had at least a 3.5 overall rating and a 2.5 workplace factor rating to be eligible for the list. Reviews and ratings submitted for each company between Oct. 18, 2022, and Oct. 16, 2023, were considered. An employer's overall rating was determined by the quantity, quality, and consistency of the reviews they received during the eligibility period.
