The 150 best places to work in healthcare, according to Modern Healthcare

Modern Healthcare last week released its ranked list of the "Best Places to Work in Healthcare" for 2024. The organization recognized 28 Advisory Board members for keeping "their staffs engaged by offering expansive benefits, flexible schedules, and the chance to give back to their communities" and setting "high standards of integrity and accountability, while providing opportunities for growth."

Methodology

To be eligible for the list, companies must have a physical operation in the United States and at least 25 U.S.-based full- or part-time employees. In addition, at least 50% of a company's revenue must come from the direct provision of healthcare or healthcare-related services/supplies.

Publicly and privately held businesses, as well as for-profit and not-for-profit entities that have been in business for at least one year, are eligible for consideration.

Experts from Modern Healthcare's partner, the Workforce Research Group, determined a score for each organization using a two-part assessment. Twenty percent of an organization's score was based on an employer assessment while the remaining 80% was based on employee feedback surveys. Organizations with the top 75 scores in the provider/insurer or vendor/supplier categories were included in the list.
