Modern Healthcare on Monday released its "100 Most Influential People in Healthcare" list for 2024, recognizing leaders who delivered "high-quality services in a sustainable, equitable and financially sound way."
For the list, Modern Healthcare accepted nominations between July 29 and Oct. 7. Individuals who submitted a nomination were required to:
The list's selection and rankings were determined by Modern Healthcare's senior editors. Overall, there were 73 repeat honorees and 27 first-time honorees, something that Modern Healthcare called "a sign of change in the industry and a reflection of the people and organizations whose influence has grown in the past 12 months."
This year's list included several hospital and health system leaders among the top 25 honorees:

The list also included leaders from other sectors of the healthcare industry, including government, insurance, pharmaceutical companies, and more. Those among the top 25 include:
