Micha'le Simmons oversees Advisory Board’s culture and engagement strategy. She also serves as a co-creator and faculty member of the Advisory Board Fellowship, a leadership development program for rising healthcare executives. In this capacity, she enjoys designing and facilitating experiences that lead to new insights and coaching leaders.
Previously, Micha’le led Advisory Board’s workforce research program. working with chief human resource officers from 150 organizations to address the most pressing workforce challenges in healthcare. Her research covered topics such as recruitment and retention, succession management, diversity and inclusion, and leadership effectiveness.
Outside of work, Micha’le serves as a board member of the YWCA National Capital Area, where she has volunteered for over nine years. She also enjoys performing improv with her improv troupe, the 3rd Graders.
In her time as a researcher and facilitator, Micha’le has presented at LinkedIn’s TalentConnect conference and ASHHRA. She facilitated discussions on workforce strategy with leadership teams at national and international healthcare organizations including Cleveland Clinic, Quest Diagnostics, Mosaic Healthcare, Asante, United Health Care, and Children’s National. Micha'le is a certified Gallup strengths coach and a Leadership Circle Certified Practitioner.
