Who’s going to pay for Covid-19 treatment?

The federal government has already passed legislation requiring private insurers, Medicare, Medicaid to cover testing for the novel coronavirus and coronavirus-related doctor visits without any cost to the patient. However, when it comes to the question of who’s going to pay for Covid-19 treatments, the answer is murky. For the majority of people who get Covid-19, symptoms are likely to be mild to moderate and can be treated by resting at home, but for those who require hospitalization, the costs could be very high.
