We recently updated our volume forecasts, which are now available in the Market Scenario Planner. Obstetric volumes are continuing longstanding declines in line with national birth rates. With the growing trend of delayed childbearing and the escalating rates of chronic disease, we expect remaining pregnancies will be increasingly complex. As demographic shifts and state abortion policies continue to mold the obstetric landscape, women’s programs will need to compete for remaining delivery volumes and look beyond obstetrics for growth opportunities.
