Back then, the increase in telehealth and remote work amplified cyber threats by expanding the number of devices and endpoints outside traditional security perimeters. In our research, we learned how cybercriminals exploited organizations through phishing, social engineering, and targeting unsecured home networks, as well as VPN vulnerabilities.
To learn more about how approaches to cybersecurity in healthcare have and haven’t changed over the past few years, we decided to compare the 2020 and 2023 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMMS) cybersecurity surveys. What’s clear from our analysis is that cyberattacks haven’t gone away. In fact, rates are continuing to rise. Read more below.
